EVA / HAWA / AHAVA / AGAPE / PHILIA / EROS

ETYMOLOGY AND THE TRUE MEANING OF THE WORDS
(AND THE MYTH OF GAY "LOVE"
)

Adam means "dust" in Hebrew.
Eva / Ευα / Hawa means "Life / breath" in Hebrew.
Ahawa means love in Hebrew.
Agape / Αγαπη means love and it is obviously of same roots as Ahawa since the Greek consonants are divided in the phonetic groups

ΚΓΧ
ΤΔΘ
ΠΒΦ

Greek philosophers at the time of Plato and other ancient authors have used forms of the word AGAPE to denote love of a spouse or family, or affection for a particular activity, in contrast to PHILIA (an affection that could denote friendship, brotherhood or generally non-sexual affection) and EROS, an affection of a sexual nature but not exclusively so.

Therefore the word Agape (love) contains the word Eve / Life / Woman it has to do with procreation and continuation of LIFE and it is not to be used as a bad replacement for EROS or LUST.

But even according to Greek mythology Eros was in love with Psyche / Soul who complete each other.

EROS for sure should not be confused with LUST for it has the same Greek root with EROTO (to ask) EROTISIS (Question) which is the urge to seek for something to complete ourselves.
For the same reason the term THEIOS EROS (divine Eros) is also a theological term.

Vater Panajiotis είπε...

Συγνώμη αλλά στα εβραϊκά Adam σημαίνει "αυτός" (η αντωνυμία).
